Privacy & data

Data requests are handled carefully because Carity is mainly device-based.

If you need access, correction, deletion, or general privacy help, this page explains the right email contact and the type of information that may be needed before a request can be processed safely.

Where to send your request

If your message is specifically about access, correction, or deletion, use a clear subject line such as Carity data request.

How identification works

Carity may not hold a traditional named account for all app features. Because of that, we may need enough information to identify your device-linked records safely before we can respond.

  • Your device identifier if it is available to you.
  • Approximate dates of use.
  • The type of data involved, such as vehicle records, alerts, or entitlement history.
  • Proof of purchase details for premium-related requests when relevant.

Requests may be declined or limited where safe identification is not possible or where legal exceptions apply.

What you may be able to request

  • A copy of certain personal data held about you.
  • Correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion of data that is no longer needed or that does not need to be retained.
  • Restriction of certain processing.
  • Information about how your data is used and shared.

Removing the app from your phone does not automatically guarantee immediate deletion of backend records. Some data may remain until normal retention periods pass or a valid deletion request can be matched to the correct records.
